What does being a certified builder mean?
New Dimension Homes is proud to be recognised as a member of the New Zealand Certified Builder Association (NZCB). Being part of the NZCB provides both us and our clients with unparalleled protective measures and assurances throughout the build process.
The NZCB has strict entry criteria which includes the requirement of having a nationally recognised trade qualification, a strong reputation within the construction community and a history of delivering projects to consistently high benchmarks. The NZCB provides us with ongoing training and support, with every member of our team - from apprentice to seasoned builder - fully across the latest building techniques and industry standards.
Our certified builder status with the NZCB means we’re also covered by the Halo Guarantee, which is the most comprehensive 10 year residential building guarantee available in New Zealand. It’s a unique type of building cover from one of the largest insurance underwriters in the world, Lloyd’s of London. The Halo Guarantee is only available on work carried out by certified builders, which means both us and our clients can benefit from increased peace of mind throughout any project.
With the Halo Guarantee, our clients are covered for:
- Loss of deposit
- Extra costs to complete the dwelling
- Structural defects for 10 years, including weather tightness
- Non-structural defects for 10 years
- Alternative accommodation requirements
